When you come to an initial ONTRAC appointment you can be sure that you will be treated kindly – with care and understanding.
You’ll notice that we work in a friendly, safe and comfortable environment, with tailored, state of the art equipment and modern treatment facilities.
First, we’ll give you a full explanation about how exercise and diet can help with improving your medical condition, an injury or your overall health and wellbeing.
Our aim is to help you see how you can feel better and improve your quality of life through specialised exercise, diet and good nutrition.
You’ll also have plenty of opportunities to discuss treatments and ask questions.
The next step is to work through a comprehensive initial assessment with either an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) or Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD). This will include understanding your medical history, conducting an assessment to determine your current functional capabilities and dietary intake, and the development of treatment recommendations and an individualised program.
We’ll discuss the program with you, set some goals together and determine a timeframe for achieving a good outcome.
Wear comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for exercise. Bring a towel and a water bottle.
You should also have your referral paperwork, any relevant scans or medical reports, medication and your Medicare card.
At all times you will be safe, comfortable and in good hands. Remember, our aim is your wellbeing; to help you feel better and improve your overall quality of life.
When you arrive ask us about rebates and insurer direct billing. These may be available.
You can be treated as an individual, in a one-on-one session or in group classes. In both settings, you can be sure of careful supervision and direct and individual attention.
Why not give us a call if you’re not feeling sure about your first appointment. A friendly staff member will be able to answer any other questions. Or, you can read more by clicking on our FAQs section.
We look forward to seeing you!
